Packaging and products

Save your usual boxes, products, categories and attributes so creating orders is faster.

Settings has a few places to save things you use again and again, like your common box sizes and your products. They save typing when you create orders. Packaging is under Shipment Settings, and products, categories and attributes are under Catalogue Management.

Package Management

Open Settings › Package Management. The Saved packages table lists your boxes with Package, Dimensions (L × B × H), Dead weight and Volumetric weight.

  1. 1Click Add package.
  2. 2Enter a Package name, for example Small box.
  3. 3Enter Dimensions (cm): Length, Breadth and Height.
  4. 4Enter the Dead weight (kg). The volumetric weight is calculated for you.
  5. 5Tick Use as default package if this should be pre-selected in Quick Order, then save.
  • Your first package is always the default. Add another to choose a different default.
  • Search the list by name or dimensions, for example 20x15. Use the edit and delete icons on each row.
  • In Quick Order, a Saved package picker fills in dimensions and weight for you.

The Weight calculation card has one switch, Auto-apply volumetric weight. When on, you are charged the higher of the dead weight and the volumetric weight.

Packaging presets

Settings › Packaging (under Catalogue Management) holds reusable box sizes too. Click Add Packaging Preset and fill in Preset Name, Length (cm), Width (cm), Height (cm) and Dead Weight (kg).

Products

Settings › Product is your catalogue. Click Add Product and enter:

  • Product Name, SKU and Price (₹) are required.
  • GST Rate is required. Prices are GST-inclusive, and the rate is printed on tax invoices.
  • Weight (kg) and Dimensions L × W × H (cm) are required.
  • Category, HSN Code (4 to 8 digits) and Image URL are optional.

Search the list by product name or SKU. You can edit or delete any product.

Categories and attributes

  • Category: click Add Category and give it a Category Name, for example Apparel. Use categories to organise products.
  • Attribute: click Add Attribute, enter an Attribute Name such as Size or Colour, and add its values, such as Small. Attributes describe your product variants.
Only the Owner and Admin roles can change the catalogue. Staff can view products. See Users and roles.
