Courier preferences
Turn couriers on or off, set how RouteOne auto-picks one, and create rules for specific orders.
Three screens control which courier partner your parcels go with when RouteOne chooses for you, for example when you ship many orders at once. You find them under Settings: Manage Couriers, Courier Priority and Courier Rules.
Manage Couriers
Settings › Manage Couriers lists the courier services available to you. Each row shows the name, the mode (for example Surface, Air or Express), the weight slab it covers and a rating.
- Use the Active toggle to enable or disable a courier. Disabled couriers are not offered or auto-picked.
- Switch between B2C and B2B tabs.
- Search by name, or filter by mode and weight slab (for example Up to 2 kg, 2 – 5 kg, Over 10 kg).
- A courier marked New does not have enough delivered shipments in the last 90 days to be rated yet. The star rating is based on delivered and RTO shipments in that period.
- A courier marked Coming soon is not connected yet and cannot be switched on.
Courier Priority
Settings › Courier Priority decides how RouteOne picks the best courier from the serviceable options. You set it separately for B2C and B2B using the tabs, under Selection strategy.
| Strategy | What it favours |
|---|---|
| Economical | Lowest shipping cost. |
| Fastest | Quickest from pickup to first delivery attempt. |
| Best Rated | Couriers with proven performance. |
| Smart Select | A balance of performance and cost. This is the default. |
| Personalised | Your own order of couriers. |
- 1Open Settings › Courier Priority and choose the B2C or B2B tab.
- 2Click a strategy card. The chosen one shows a tick.
- 3For Personalised, a Custom courier order list appears. Couriers are tried top to bottom, so use the up and down arrows to reorder.
- 4Your choice saves with a confirmation: Courier priority saved.
Courier Rules
Settings › Courier Rules lets you say “for orders like this, always use that courier”. Rules are checked from top to bottom and the first match wins. A matching rule is used before the priority strategy, as long as that courier can serve the order.
- 1Click Create New Rule.
- 2Enter a Rule name, for example COD orders to Zone D.
- 3Choose the Scope, B2C or B2B.
- 4Add Conditions. All conditions must match. You can use Payment mode, Weight (kg), Zone, Order value, SKU, Channel, State, City and Pincode.
- 5Choose the courier under Assign courier and save. A Preview shows the rule in words.
Each rule has an Active toggle, so you can pause it without deleting it. The number at the left of each rule is its position in the order.
Changes here need the Owner or Admin role. See Users and roles. To compare prices first, use the Rate calculator.
