Same order ID from two stores
Two connected stores can both send order #1000. They stay separate orders, and you tell them apart by store name, shipment ID or AWB.
If you sell on more than one store, it is normal for both to start numbering at #1000. RouteOne handles this for you.
Connected stores
Orders that arrive from two different connected stores are kept as separate orders, even when the order number is the same. One will never overwrite the other.
- The store name you gave each channel is shown on the order card and on the shipment card, so you can see which store an order came from.
- To be exact when you search or talk to support, use the Shipment ID or the AWB. These are different for every shipment.
Give each store a clear name in Settings › Channels. See Connect your online store.
Manual, CSV and API orders
Orders you create yourself are different. A Quick Order, a CSV import or an order created through the API must use an Order ID that is new in your account. If the ID already exists, you will be told it already exists, and the order is not created.
- 1Pick a reference that you have not used before, such as one with a prefix (for example
WEB-1000). - 2Enter it in Order ID, or in the Order ID column of your CSV.
- 3Create the order again.
