Outstanding dues

What to do if your wallet balance goes negative: the reminder, the pay-dues page and how access is restored.

Some charges can reach your account after a parcel has shipped, such as a weight adjustment. If a charge like this takes your wallet balance below zero, you have outstanding dues. This article explains what you will see and how to clear them.

What you will see

  • A reminder. When your wallet balance is negative, a Clear your outstanding dues pop-up appears in the dashboard. Choose Pay now to pay straight away, or Remind me later to close it for now.
  • A pause on access. If the dues stay unpaid, access to the dashboard can be paused until the outstanding dues are paid. You will be taken to a page titled Pay the outstanding dues to restore access to your account.

Pay your dues

  1. 1Click Pay now on the reminder, or open the pay-dues page if your access has been paused.
  2. 2Check the amount in Amount to pay.
  3. 3Choose a payment gateway and click Pay now.
  4. 4Complete the payment on the secure checkout.

Once the payment is received, your access returns automatically. You do not need to contact anyone.

Which charges made my balance negative?

The pay-dues page includes a section called Why your balance is negative. It lists the charges behind the negative balance with their Date, Charge, AWB and Amount, so you can match them against your orders. You can also see them in your passbook. See Wallet and passbook.

Who can pay

Only team members whose role allows wallet recharges can pay. If your role cannot, the page tells you to ask your account owner or admin to pay the dues.

Avoiding negative balances

  • Keep some balance in your wallet beyond what your next shipments need.
  • Check the Weight Discrepancy page regularly, since accepted discrepancies are debited from your wallet.
  • If you use the API, watch for the wallet warning in order responses. See API endpoints.
Paying dues uses the same secure checkout as a wallet recharge. See Recharge your wallet for how the payment gateways work.
