Install RouteOneX on Shopify

Connect your Shopify store to RouteOne from Shopify admin or from Settings, and see your orders inside the embedded app.

The RouteOneX app links your Shopify store to your RouteOne account, so your orders come in by themselves and tracking goes back to Shopify. There are a few ways to connect. Pick the one that matches where you are starting from.

Option 1: Install from Shopify

  1. 1In Shopify, find the RouteOneX app and click Install.
  2. 2Approve the permissions Shopify shows. They cover reading and updating orders and fulfilments.
  3. 3Shopify opens RouteOneX inside your Shopify admin. No separate login is needed on that page.

What you see next depends on whether you already have a RouteOne account.

  • New to RouteOne: we set up a new RouteOne account for your store. The page tells you to finish setting up: use Set your password (use the store owner's email on that page) and then complete your KYC. Orders still come in, but nothing ships until your account is approved. See Complete your KYC.
  • Already a RouteOne seller with the same email: for your security, we do not link the store automatically. The page asks you to use Log in and connect, then connect the store from Settings (Option 2).
  • Store already linked: the app simply re-links it.

Option 2: Connect from RouteOne

  1. 1Log in to RouteOne and open Settings › Channels / Integrations. The page is called Sales Channels.
  2. 2Click Configure New Channel and choose Shopify.
  3. 3Enter a Store Name. This is just a label for you inside RouteOne.
  4. 4Under Connect with Shopify (recommended), type your store domain, like your-store.myshopify.com, and click Connect with Shopify.
  5. 5Approve the permissions on Shopify. You come back to RouteOne with the store connected.
If the domain is not a valid *.myshopify.com address, you will see an error. Use the .myshopify.com address, not your custom domain. Only the Owner and Admin roles can connect channels.

Option 3: Your own Shopify custom app

If you prefer, you can connect with a custom app you create in Shopify admin. In the connect form, enter the Store domain, the Admin API access token and the API secret key. In Shopify, create the app under Settings › Apps › Develop apps, give it read and write access to Orders and Fulfillments, install it, and copy the token and secret.

The app page inside Shopify admin

When you open RouteOneX from your Shopify admin, you see:

  • Your store name and the line Connected to RouteOne account with your account name.
  • Buttons to Open orders in RouteOne and Store settings.
  • Sync status: orders synced in total, orders in the last 30 days, the connection status and the time of the last sync.
  • Recent orders: order number, date, status, courier and AWB. New Shopify orders appear here within a minute of being placed.

If the page cannot load, reload it. If the problem continues, raise a support ticket from Help Center › Ticket in RouteOne.

Check, pause or disconnect

Open the store from Settings › Sales Channels to see its status, use Sync now, Import past orders, change the default pickup location, or turn Auto-import new orders on or off. At the bottom, Disconnect this channel removes the link. If you uninstall the app from Shopify, syncing stops. You can install it again any time.

Next, read How Shopify orders sync. For other stores, see Connect your store.

Still need help? Email support@routeone.app with your order ID or AWB, or raise a ticket from Help Center › Ticket in the app.
